“RECYCLE” YOUR OLD EYEGLASSES AND
HELP GIVE VISION TO THE POOR
As a community service project, Rahi D. Punjabi is sponsoring a campaign to collect used eyeglasses. The donated glasses will be sent to New Eyes for the Needy, a non-profit volunteer organization whose mission is to improve the vision of poor children, adults and seniors in the United States and throughout the world including India.
A collection box is located in the foyer of the main building of ISW Center. You can donate reusable eyeglasses. Please search around your home for old glasses no longer being used.
New Eyes for the Needy provides eyeglasses to the poor around the world through many missions and international charitable organizations. Recently, News Eyes shipped 26,600 pairs of sorted glasses to Feed the Children and 32,900 to the Tree-Land Foundation for distributing to poor people overseas. Individual physicians have traveled around the world with New Eyes glasses offering better vision and an overall better life to people in India and other countries.
