Job Fair - Feb 2010

Job Fair at India Center in Feb 2010Over 150 people registered for the first ever ISW hosted Job Fair held on Thursday February 25th at the ISW India Center. Despite unrelenting rain and winds the majority of the registrants showed up and met with over a dozen hiring companies ranging from biotech to IT services to several high tech start-ups.

Following a series of career focused workshops conducted by the ISW Seminar committee, the ISW Job Fair was a capstone event that far surpassed all expectations. The India center was buzzing with activity with several eager job candidates arriving well before the doors opened and dozens stayed on after the closing to continue networking.
 

ISW Scholarship Winners Announced

ISW is proud to present the ISW scholarship awards and recognize the youths of our community.   The purpose of this program is to motivate ISW community students to excel in Academics as well as in Social Services.

The nomination committee has reviewed all applications submitted for various positions of India Society of Worcester Executive Committee, Board of Trustees and Nomination Committee.  We are pleased to nominate following candidates for the positions as mentioned with the individual’s name to serve their respective terms beginning year 2011.  We request you (ISW members) to please be present in the ISW General Body meeting. Sports Seminar - How to Win

On August 1, ISW sponsored a seminar on Sports Psychology titled “How to win”. Mr. B. P. Bam, a retired Inspector General who has been coaching for the past 20+ years was the lead guest speaker. His list of noted students includes Indian athletes Rahul Dravid, Geet Sethi and Om Agarwal.

 

ISW invites Application for Scholarship 2011

India Society of Worcester (ISW) invites applications for scholarship from high school students to recognize academic achievement and Community Service. Eligible candidates are presented with monetary awards/certificates (distributed during ISW Diwali Function) and recognition within the community. The application process is very simple with no essay or recommendation letter required. Click here more information about the program, eligibility criteria and instructions on how to apply.
