Humrahi at Swami Narayan Temple

Members of the Humrahi, ISW's senior citizens group went to celebrate Janamashtme at the Swami Narayan Temple in Lowell. It was organized by the Gujrati members of the temple.  We were part of over 2000 people that attended the event.  After many talks by members regarding the event and clips of the Moksha event organized by them in Atlanta where 10 thousand people attend we were served dinner. It was a very enlightening experience and enjoyed by all of us who attended.

Khana Khazana - 2018

The delicious event by the India Society of Worcester was held on May 5th at India Center in Shrewsbury. 

The event was a Desi Master Chef Challenge Contest for passionate Chefs. 70+ attendees, enjoyed this brand new event organized by ISW by tasting and admiring variety of delicacies at one place. There were 60% newcomers for this event at ISW.

The event opened up with a short demonstration by Anuradha Bhogle, a creative artist showed how beautifully one can make flowers, butterflies, ladybugs and many more creations out of Fruits and Vegetables.

The contest began with, the Judges visiting each contestant's food table and tasting their food, asking them questions, complimenting food and evaluating.

Karvachauth - 2017

Karvachauth 2017 .......................................................................................Bhumika Seth

The annual event was a success with over 60 women participating in the evening puja.  All of the married women, dressed in their beautiful clothes had been observing their fast during the day and waiting for the moon to appear.  Many stayed after the puja to enjoy a dinner with their families.  This event has been held for 4 years at the ISW Center and  each year it grows with new faces being welcomed to the community.
